AG 4531 - Business Ethics + Copyright Credits: 3 Course Type: Studio
In this course students learn business practices in the animation and game industries, including organization and operation as employer or employee, studio specialist, or freelance artist. Current and historic developments in copyright law and issues of industry-relevant ethics are explored. Upon successful completion of this course, students perform an evaluation of their skills through the lens of the business world and assess their expectations for a career in their specialization. Students demonstrate the budgeting process, the procedures for legal use and protection of copyright, and an understanding of the ethical uses of this art form.
Prerequisites: Completion of 90+ credit hours.
