The BFA Degree in Illustration, with a concentration in Sequential Art helps students prepare a portfolio for the publishing industry and obtain entry-level work in the areas of graphic novels and comic books. This degree requires 51 credits in Illustration and allows the student to take an additional 6 elective credits in Sequential Art. Students must officially declare the Sequential Art Area of Concentration in order for it to be indicated on the permanent student record.
This degree consists of 123 credit hours with courses delivered in 8-week sessions in a regulated sequence to allow for the acquisition of necessary skills, the retention and transfer of knowledge and the professional discipline necessary for entry-level practice.
