This junior-level course explores various aspects of history as a field of study. The course content varies, allowing students to explore specific aspects of history with greater depth and mastery.
Prerequisites: EN 1110 - Composition I
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Understand analytical processes to assess historical texts by evaluating each author’s point of view, comparing and contrasting their theories, and assessing their pertinence to larger historical contexts such as religious, ethical, philosophical, cultural, economic, and artistic development.
- Understand significant readings and theoretical methods that have both defined and challenged historical development.
- Understand historical methodologies to research, writing, and discussions.
